Perkins Chosen as an Official Charity of the 2009 B.A.A. Boston Marathon ®
In order to be considered for membership to the Perkins team, runners do not need to achieve a qualifying time, however, they must fit the following requirements:
- Complete the Marathon in 6 hours or less
- Abide by all rules and regulations set by Perkins and the B.A.A.
- Join the Perkins training program for the Boston Marathon
- Raise a minimum of $3,000 for Perkins
- Have a strong commitment and connection to Perkins School for the Blind
Filling out an application does not guarantee a waived number for the Boston Marathon. A thorough selection process will be conducted and qualified applicants could expect a phone interview following submission of an application.
The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, October 31, 2008. All applicants will be notified of our decision in November. Please get your application in early. Click to download an application.
