An audience of students, staff, and voters from the surrounding community came to hear the contender's views on the economy, education, healthcare, the environment, and more. As a special treat, the debate was moderated by former Massachusetts Senator Warren Tolman.

The candidates are: Stephen Corbett, Watertown; Julia Fahey, Watertown; Jonathan Hecht, Watertown, and Joshua Weisbuch, Cambridge.

Michelle, a Perkins student, asked the candidates for their opinions on accessible machines in stores and other public places such as ATMs, automated grocery checkouts, and pin pads for paying with a debit card.

"We have a responsibility to make all aspects of living accessible," said Jonathan Hecht. Candidate Joshua Weisbuch said he was interested in looking into the issue further and whether such accomodations should be covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Perkins President Steven Rothstein spoke to the crowd about accessible voting machines, voter registration, and how to use write-in/sticker ballot instructions.
