Golf Tournament Fundraiser Benefits Perkins' Infant/Toddler Program

Each year, Porter Belly's Pub and a neighboring establishment Devlin's Bar & Restaurant team up and encourage golf enthusiasts to play for a cause and give back to the community. This year, the Annual Charity Golf Tournament held at the Sandy Burr Country Club raised over $14,000 for Perkins' Infant/Toddler Program.
Barbara McKoon and John Keohane know very well the importance of the program since their son, Evan, benefited from its services. Because they believed in its mission and want other children to have the same opportunities as Evan, the couple requested money from this year's tournament benefit the Infant/Toddler Program.
“I want to thank both of the event organizers Sean McCormack and Tom Devlin and the members of the Irish community who unite each year around a special cause. Their donation to the Infant/Toddler Program in the name of the Keohane family will go a long way to allow us to offer music therapy and extend our opportunities for parent to parent support activities," said Tom Miller, supervisor of Perkins’ Educational Partnerships Program.
